Defining requirements & architecture of electro-optical systems.
Hardware design and implementation.
Unit and system integration and design verification.
Responsibility for a variety of technical tasks including board bring-up, and product transition to manufacturing.
Conducting and overseeing design reviews.
Driving process and standards improvement efforts.
Providing technical direction and leadership in a non-supervisory capacity for complex engineering projects.
Mentoring of other Engineers.
Supporting project planning efforts including task definition and work effort. May develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
Participating in strategic planning and product road map definition.

Electronic System design competence: requirements, architecture, circuit theory, microprocessors, FPGAs, high speed digital design, HDMI, USB, WIFI, Bluetooth, Serdes, MIPI CSI2, LVDS.
Proficiency in circuit design and simulation tools.
Mechanical Engineering Competence: tolerances, CTF's, able to read and analyze mechanical drawings.
Optics Competence: Imaging knowledge, aptitude, and interest, Visible and IR, Color space knowledge, Bayer and de-bayering.
Digital imaging experience.
Understanding of software architectures and design methodologies.
DFX understanding.
Solid technical leadership skills and ability to serve as a project lead.

Preferred Qualifications
Strategic planning and product road mapping experience.
Customer interfacing experience.
FPGA programming experience.
Embedded programming in C, C++, Python.
Experience with ToF sensors.
Experience with RF and mmWave radar.
Understanding of Machine Learning and Neural Networks.
