Job Description
Seeking an experienced Strategic Infrastructure Architect to provide network and desktop support for an enterprise software application suite. As a member of the project team, the Strategic Infrastructure Architect will work in an interactive environment with business and technical staff to ensure a high degree of collaboration in support of a successful overall solution.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role will include maintaining compliance utilizing standards and best practices, upgrading system resources with available releases, and configuration of a high availability enterprise system architecture. The Strategic Infrastructure Architect will also be responsible for troubleshooting and problem resolution related to network, hardware and software resources.
Qualifications
• Ability to coordinate infrastructure requirements with Information Technology Group
• Ability to implement compliance with infrastructure goals, strategies, and standards
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of modern Internet architectures and associated networking, firewalls, routing, switching, load-balancing, and clustering technologies
• Ability to work collaboratively with the software development team, while driving infrastructure improvements to achieve business optimization
• Ability to create technical detail-oriented infrastructure documentation and records for internal and external audiences as well as for auditing purposes
• Ability to prepare and present concepts (written and verbal) to the software development team, senior management, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Candidate must be an excellent communicator and customer service focused
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting and / or deploying enterprise infrastructure solutions utilizing primarily the Microsoft .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience in an enterprise distributed computing environment, and special emphasis on transactional and reporting systems associated with an operational environment
• Experience supporting a complex infrastructure for enterprise software products including the deployment of multiple versions / releases of hardware and software utilizing standardized release management methodologies
• Experience utilizing infrastructure tools and processes (i.e. monitoring, performance, etc.) while assuring the viability, functionality and effectiveness of these essential tools
• Experience working alone or collaboratively using problem solving techniques to address defect analysis, troubleshooting, and effective resolution
• Bachelors Degree
