Job Description
The Creative Manager leads a multifaceted Creative team, responsible for developing and maintaining our client’s brand identity and personality, while driving and approving Creative strategic approaches to business goals. They provide creative direction and expertise for the most complex and innovative projects, while leading daily operations and ensuring business objectives are achieved on deadline. They ensure all branded communication pieces and their creative execution align with company priorities and are fully integrated to effectively speak to our client’s customers.


Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Manage performance and develop employees; provide resources, training, feedback, and development opportunities
Interview, select, and hire the best caring, diverse, and knowledgeable people
Lead by example and create a fair, empowering, and safe work environment; maintain & encourage two-way communication
Preserve our culture, lead with our values, and ensure our client’s environment remains a great place to work for all
Product Leadership:
Provide leadership to create consistent, overall brand and campaign strategies by introducing non-traditional ideas and solutions to communicate our message in new and unique ways
Work closely with various Marketing teams to produce materials that will effectively communicate key messages to our customers
Provide strategic focus and guidelines for the look and feel of all creative including words, illustration, and photography
Drive and improve creative processes to measure and report on consistency, quality, and operations efficiency for all creative projects
Strategic Leadership:
Create, manage, and implement design strategies that are integrated with our company goals and priorities; ensure all creative projects align with strategies, are within budget, and on time; Work with Marketing teams to influence budgets for idea needs
Partner closely with Executive, Merchandising, and Marketing leadership to identify unique business challenges, define and influence strategies, and create and communicate innovative solutions to complex and high priority projects; effectively navigate and balance competing interests to arrive at a solution
Define measurements of success for new projects; ensure adherence to our client’s standards and that projects align with creative strategy
Approve and establish partnerships with outside agencies; manage expectations, negotiate costs and resources, communicate our client’s brand standards, and ensure quality work that supports our brand


Qualifications
Required 10 or more years of graphic design experience
Required 5 or more years of experience managing and developing a team of creative professionals
Experience working with digital platforms
Bachelor’s degree in related field
