Job Description
Quality Assurance Analyst Provides a vital role in supporting the software development life cycle, focusing on testing software platform enhancements in pre- and post-release conditions. A successful software tester will also provide suggestions for improving the loan origination platform and during testing, will not just execute test plans but will follow the data to identify and test scenarios originally not considered.
Responsibilities
• Participate in requirement gathering sessions with CD colleagues to understand requested system changes.
• Review requirements documentation and ascertain what changes are being made to the system that will require testing, working with both the business and technology teams.
• Create, write and execute test plans according to the CD Testing Methodology.
• Analyze/research system requests for possible changes or defects.
• Provide input into the continuous improvement of the Testing Methodology and loan origination platform.
• Have an understanding of system testing concepts and industry best practices.
• Perform production verification to ensure production implementations are functioning properly.
• Communicate status of assigned tasks on a regular basis.
• Aid business and technology stakeholders in production troubleshooting and support activities.
• Provide origination platform helpdesk triage and support.
Qualifications
• High School Degree or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills required
• Knowledge of creating and executing test plans utilizing a standard methodology a plus
• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word is required
• Knowledge of SQL and Visio desired
