Job Description
The Applications Programmer Analyst is responsible for the support, operations, planning, development and maintenance related to enterprise business applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Human Resources (HR). Work performed will adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, Change Control policies and procedures, and internal Service Level Agreements.

Provide technical support of enterprise business applications. Analyze and troubleshoot application and integration issues. Interface directly with business unit users and third-party vendors. Interface directly with other teams within the Office of Enterprise Technology. Create, update and monitor ticket tracking systems. Facilitate reporting of defects and testing of vendor-supplied fixes.
Execute, monitor, validate and report on system operations. Assist in the coordination and communication of operation activities. Evaluate operations and activities, recommend improvements and modifications. Write and maintain operating procedures.
Analyze, design, develop/modify, test and debug new and existing application interfaces. Create and maintain documentation related to system interfaces.
Prepare various reports on support and operations activities including project schedules and updates, program manuals, charts, and diagrams.
Assist with user implementation of software applications; prepare system, program and customer guides and documentation.
Provide and coordinate staff training; assign and evaluate work done by programming staff and vendors; ensure project deadlines are met.
Participate in on-call support of production issues.

Person must be Proficient with Microsoft toolsets in the following:
Ability to complete work independently with minimal supervision & thorough note taker
Clearly articulate their thoughts & ideas in both verbal and written communication
Create and maintain technical documentation that accurately characterizes business requests (topology diagrams, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), knowledge base articles, etc.)
Productive mentor to other team members when called upon
Preferred 5+ years’ experience with Human Resource data and business knowledge
7 Years writing SQL queries
7 Years designing SSRS
5 Years designing Power BI or like technology business intelligence platforms
4 Years hands-on experience in Performance Tuning & Optimization
3 Years using DevOps/TFS/Visual Studio for source code
2 Years working knowledge of Workday and or workday migration efforts
2 Years API experience (RESTful APIs, Workday XO APIs
API management experience
2 Years MySQL
5 Years Java Experience
2 Years .Net
2 Years report development experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience supporting enterprise software systems such as ERP or HR; more specifically Workday and as a secondary Managed Advantage or other financial applications; principles, techniques, and methodologies of technical project management, quality management, and structured change management; supporting and maintaining CGI Advantage ERP application.
