Job Description
This position is responsible for the support and maintenance of financial systems and related applications which include Microsoft Dynamics GP, Core Integrator, Prophix, and other SQL based systems.


Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and supporting applications
Maintain data integrity of GP system and subsystems and perform regular system housekeeping activities recommended and documented by Dynamics in coordination with Iridium IT department
Administer and maintain all related Application Servers and SQL Servers related to Microsoft Dynamics GP
Facilitate the change control and change management process
Facilitate SOX compliance reporting
Provide overall support to the Financial Systems end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving Financial System Issues
Maintain SQL integrations between systems, and reporting tools and execute on new reporting requests
Create ad-hoc reports using SSRS and SmartView
Create integration using SmartConnect, SSIS, or other integration tools as required
Create and maintain Financial Systems user and Knowledge Base documentation for supporting Financial Systems
Manage and work Financial Systems service requests on a daily basis, creating and updating all tickets in ticketing software; conduct follow up calls; perform tests and troubleshooting; escalate when needed
Test financial system upgrades and resolve system problems and issues by working as a liaison between Information Technology (IT) support team and user areas
Participate on project teams as a key point of contact of financial systems and support processes post implementation
Develop implementation and test plans, including leading and/or participating in User Acceptance Testing to support major deliverables and applications
Work closely with management and end-users to drive business performance through process automation.
Validate system-testing results prior to implementation of new or enhanced interfaces and provide support to impacted areas
Develop training material and conduct training sessions on new processes and modules
Research, inquire, and inform Finance and Finance Support teams of trends in technology and recommend and work with management to implement solutions that will enhance processes and efficiency
Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management
Demonstrated depth of knowledge in the maintenance, process enhancement and troubleshooting of Financial Systems
Strong understanding of Accounting functions
Ability to work with functional teams to automate procedures where possible, and to promote rapid response to known issues
Work in conjunction with Iridium’s IT groups and vendors to understand, maintain, and support all Financial Systems environments
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to recognize and resolve issues independently, as well as apply new ideas and approaches with guidance
Ability to perform SQL querying to extract data and understand output of data analysis
Ability to create integrations using SmartConnect, SSIS, or other tools as needed
Ability to create PowerShell scripts to enhance/automate jobs
Ability to work across platforms/technologies
Listen actively and ask questions
Structure documents clearly to convey complex issues and multi-faceted analysis with minimal guidance
Present products/deliverables/analysis/issues confidently to various groups in the organization
Effectively manage upward by managing timeline expectations, proactively communicating status, and asking for help as needed
Must be a self-starter and a detail-oriented individual with attention to documenting, tracking, and independently prioritizing tasks
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and change direction rapidly when priorities and deadlines shift


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems or equivalent
5+ years hands-on experience with ERPs and other financial systems, Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred
Experience with MSSQL databases, Transact SQL querying, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
Experience with Windows PowerShell Scripting
Experience or familiarity with Visual Studios
Experience with SmartConnect integration software a plus
Experience with Java and JSON coding a plus
Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 and 2019 including Terminal Services and IIS configuration
Demonstrated proficiencies with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel
