Solü Technology Partners’ Rochester and National Recruiting Center recruiters are now Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiters (CDR) after participating in the AIRS powered by ADP training course.
The course provides recruiters with the knowledge to create an effective plan for locating and building talent pipelines, including from diverse and underrepresented groups. It also explores strategies for improving job descriptions to reach a more inclusive candidate pool and techniques for finding diverse candidates on social media platforms.
Says Jim Smith, president and co-founder of Solü, “I’m proud of our recruiters for being committed to improving their diversity and inclusion talent acquisition practices and receiving this certification. We now have new strategies to engage a high-performing workforce drawn from diverse locations and backgrounds. These efforts further support our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.”
The importance of reaching a broader candidate base comes at a time when 76% of job seekers and employees say a diverse workforce is an important factor when evaluating companies and job offers, according to a Glassdoor survey.
Trisha Buscemi, senior recruiter at Solü, completed the training course and says it opened her eyes to new ways of finding talent. “I am connecting with a lot of candidates I don’t think I would have come upon using my previous methods. It’s been extremely valuable.”
Kara Dolinish, senior technical recruiter, agrees. “After completing the Certified Diversity Recruiter training, I am better equipped to locate and engage diverse candidate pools. I am also hopeful that companies will take the steps to include a more diverse staff. I’m fortunate to work for a company that recognizes the importance of DEI, and I am excited to put the techniques I learned into action.”
The certification is valid for two years and alumni can recertify via the exam process every two years.
